Documentary “After Sabeen” has it’s Pakistani Premiere

On 29th September, 2019  Goethe Institut as part of it’s Sunday matinee series with Capri Cinema held a screening of the film “After Sabeen” by Schokofeh Kamiz. The film traces the lives and emotions of Sabeen’s mother and friends to record not only their memories and grief but their ongoing impetus to continue Sabeen’s work.

The film screening was followed by a followed by a discussion moderated by Ziad Zafar with the director, Sabeen’s mother Mahenaz Mahmud, and Journalist Zarrar Khuhro.

This was the film’s third screening globally, the first occurred in Munich and the second in berlin. The Film will also be screened at LUMS in Lahore. “After Sabeen” has been selected for two international film festivals: South Asian Film Festival of Montréal – SAFFM  to be held in October and Film Southasia in Nepal to be held in November).
